gmc to chevy front fender will it work?
Just picked up a 72 jimmy. Most body work has been done but it has a chevy d/s front fender vrs the inset gmc fender. Question Will the eyebrows work on a chevy fender or will it look funny? Can the chevy fender be modified or should I just find a replacement gmc fender.

I don't think the eyebrows will mount on the fender. You'll either need the GMC fender or a 68 Chevy fender. I would welcome you to the board but you've been here longer than I have.
 We have several guys in the Jackson area, heck we had a little get together last month there. We went to a yard with some old trucks in it, had a GMC with decent fenders on it.

Yea I got out of the chevy- gmcs but an old project I had about 4 years ago has fallen in my lap. 72 Jimmy 70 k org miles sittin forever but good bones all original a/c etc... I think I know where a fender is but if not i may get directions to that junk yard. Thanks again Jacksonbase |

The GMC fender doesent have the recess in the front, only the 69-72 Chevy fender does. As Krue says you can use the 68 chevy fenders. Are you sure that the fender that you have isn't a GMC fender? WES www.ClassicHeartbeat.com

Yes your right! Actually when I said I've picked up truck I'm going to pick up truck end of the week. Dang I'm getting old! Memory fading .
