Drop Kit help..

I am planning on dropping my 69 SWB GMC 2/4 or 2.5/4...doesnt really matter. The problem i am having is whether to order the expensive kit or the cheap one...go figure. Is there a big difference if i just use 2" dropped coil for the front with shocks of course, compared to 2.5" drop spindles? is there a difference in the ride, or if not, where is the difference felt? I am pretty sure someone on the board has delt with this and i just want to say thank you again to everyone on the board for all the help and advice they share with eachother. Hopefully one day i will be able to help as everyone already does.

Re: Drop Kit help..

If 2" is enough for you I would go ahead and do the spring drop. Its easier, cheaper and fine as long as you get a alignment. I did 3-5 spring drop w/ no problems what so ever.

Lets see some pics!

Re: Drop Kit help..

if money is not an issue, i would go the spindles. drop coils will wok fine if your roads are not to bad, you will lose some travel in you front suspension and may bottom out on pot hole and such

Re: Drop Kit help..

Do you already have disc brakes? If not the spring would be a way cheaper option if you have not switched over yet.
