Too Wide Of Tire????
Do you guys think this tire sticks out too far? I am trying to decide what to run for tires. This is a 275/60/15 on an 8" ralley.
Looks good on back, but the front ....I don't know. Input... Peter PS...my truck is coming along good. |

Definitely way too wide on both front and back! I know how to fix it though where those wheels and tires would look great. Just send them to me and I'll put them on the '71.
Seriously, I think the fronts look just a little wide, but that's my opinion since I like things tucked in. Scott

HYPERMAN, very nice truck. Would love to see more pics. As for the tires, they look good to me, I don't think they are too wide up front or stick out to far.
This would be an example of TOO wide up front. I tend to be pupular with the local law enforcement because of my tire/wheel combo.

Hey, that's the same size I had/have on my 69. I liked them, I thought they looked cool. But I was just a punk kid when I bought them. I think I'll use the same ize when I get it rebuilt too. Here is a pic from when we put it on the trailer. About the best pic I have with all the fenders on. I thought it looked good.

I'm running 275/60/15's all the way around. In the dry it's an absolute joy to drive, but in the rain, it hydroplanes and throws water up over the cab like crazy. Just gotta take it easy

I think the 275's are too wide for the front. I like for the fronts to be tucke up in the wells. I have 275/60's on 8" ralleys in the rear and 255/60's on the front. I feel they fit perfectly and fill the wells just right.

Bamm 24 - do you have a pic of your tire/wheel combo? I'd like to see how the 295/50s look on the 8" rims.
67_SS396 - I think that is an excellent combo, too. I would just prefer to be able to rotate the tires.
