67 accelerator assembly ?
Can someone tell me what the accelerator pedal mount and assembly for a 67 cab consists of? I bought a rust free 67 cab to put on my 72 and all I got with the cab was the parking brake lever and the steel lever that the linkage hooks to. The plastic block with the three holes that the steel lever snaps into came with it to. Something else must be missing because when I try to put the plastic block on the firewall the lever wants to hit the firewall and the top of the lever is to far to the right for the cable or linkage to line up with the hole in the firewall. Did 67 trucks just use steel linkages or did they use cables also? I'd like to figure out a way to use my 72 pedal assembly it's alot better system.

Re: 67 accelerator assembly ?
The 67 uses a rod instead of a cable. The 72 setup mounts in a different spot on the firewall.

Re: 67 accelerator assembly ?
Thanks alot guys ! This info really helps. I don't think I'd ever get this truck done if it wasn't for the help from people like you. This 67 cab is just a big jig saw puzzle to me compared to my 72. I took that cab apart so I know where everything mounts. The 67 came to me bare. Its weird how the manufacturer makes improvements in smallest ways between years. The parking brake lever in the 67 is something left to be desired for compared to the 72 pedal style. When and if I let my son drive this truck when he turns 16 he'll probably think he can do some kind of J hook with that easy access handle.
