Looking for two rear hubcaps for the 3/4 Ton 4x4. Need them to fit 16" factory steel wheels and have the Blue chevy Bowtie in the middle. I have a nearly NOS 15" rear one (Blue Bowtie) to offer in trade along with 2 very nice 1973 front 16" 4x4 hubcaps that I'll part with. Also have a lot of parts Posted that I can trade.

Anybody want to deal?

Not to sound stupid, but would a 4X4 or 3/4 ton cap have a center? I was thinking that they are cut out for the hubs on 4 by and cut out for the hub on the rear? good luck anyways

your response didn't show here yet but do you have any of the ones you're talking about? I'd like to stay with the ones that have the thin black painted ring like the front ones that I have. I'll do what you suggest and just paint the bowties blue.

you can carefully push the centers out on the 73 style stainless caps and paint the bowtie blue. i've been collecting the 73 style for years to make front 4x4 caps, i already have a die to put the correct lip on the caps but haven't figured out how to punch the proper size hole to leave enough material to make the lip---one of these days i'll find an affordable way to do it.

Jerry, punch and die. Should be pretty easy to do for the correct size hole.

I don't have a lathe and my dad sold his lathe so i'm trying to find someone local to make the punch. a buddy of mine made the die to roll the lip but he doesn't have acess to the machine anymore.

Tell me the specs and how you plan to mount and align it. A two post dieset would be easy and quick.
Are you planning to alter the depth of the punch and use it for both features or make a seperate punch and seperate roll over die?
I would make the die easily flipped with dowel alignment and clearanced for the punch on one side and radiused for the roll on the other.

Like this. One side punches the slug and the other rolls the lip. Obviously not to scale and oversimplified for the discussion.

I finally found some. Are you interested in nice clean driver quality or true show quality?
The driver pair are in very good condition. Lightly polished to clean up. No cracks or damage around the outside rims. There is a small ding/dent about the size of a dime in each one///$75 for the pair...shipped.

OR

A pair of show quality, real original caps, that are "chromed" over stainless. These are OEM, like brand new, and yes the chrome is from GM. They are beautiful and they are ///$200 for the pair...but, I will pay shipping
