Well here is My Tank

This is where it started, don't let the picture fool ya...

It is what I call, a WIP...
Work
In
Progress

The person I bought it from put 1 ton leaf springs on to tow his Willie dragster
til he got a new gooseneck, then he just parked it in a garage and let it sit for 2 years before he sold it, I found it in the local Autotrader and was the only one that called on it, cause the area code was wrong on his ad...
It was tired and, despite the pictures, showing some wrinkles and cracks in the paint and bondo...lots of bondo. With a tired motor, built by a dragracer, it had cracks in the headers, a 2 barrel Holley, TH400, and 4.56 gears, and drove like a chuck wagon, every bump hurt, and made 6 mpg. with the wind to my back. I have been through 1 motor, 2 Edelbrock Carbs, 2 TH400s, 2 rearends, 3 carrier bearings, and 1 Volvo.
It is still my daily driver, it now has a 350 bored 0.30 over, Holley Street Avenger Carb., a 700R4 tranny, and I went back to the trailin' arm coils after modifying a '79 commercial 12 bolt 3/4 ton rearend, so I can change the gears...when time and money allow, and 2 years ago this x-mas, I rewired the entire truck in a day and half... like I said, it is my daily driver.
But we are getting there, I am up to 12 mpg and 345 hp, and I am in the process of stripping the interior and the paint, only to find that father time has not been kind, ie. W.I.P. But no matter what stage it is at or what it looks like...it still turns heads and gets thumbs up at the traffic lights.

You got to love that feeling.
