Finally Some Pics of my Truck...

So i finally made it home from school back to my pride and joy. No not my girlfriend, my truck. Even though it is ok the way it is, i want to make it nicer. Firstly, this is the way i bought the truck 6 months ago down in Alvin, TX. I posted some pics of the cab and i was wondering how much work it might be to fix parts of it, i.e. the rockers, cab corners, kick panels... other than those parts, a little rust, that i hope can be buffed out and the cab is pretty much in good shape. I also have drum brakes the whole way around. I was wondering if the brake boostee, master cylinder, and prop valve would be okay for a front disk, rear drum setup? Or if i need a new one or not. I appreciate all the help i receive.

Re: Finally Some Pics of my Truck...

from my understanding, the setup you have will work with a new proportioning valve (I believe the mc and booster are the same).
secondly I would like to say, I have always been partial to the interior with no headliner.

Is there chrome around your windows drip edge, or is that a trick of the camera....because it doesn't look like there is any in the pic of the front of the truck.

Re: Finally Some Pics of my Truck...

I found out the hard way that the master cylinders are different. The residual pressure is greater I believe on the drum type. Which will lock the shoes to the caliper with no pressure on the pedal. The booster should work but am not certain about the Proportioning valve.

Re: Finally Some Pics of my Truck...

Nice looking truck. I have a new power booster and a new master cylinder that is off my 71 front disc and rear drum I would sell for a great price. I put these on mine and then I tore down the truck. I just put on the new ABS power brake unit to give me more stopping power. I put these on in August and only drove it 2 before the tear down. I would sell these for $150 for both. If you want I can get you some pictures. If you decide you want them you can pay me through paypal if that is easier.
