Rotors
I have some wheels that are 6 lug spun alum.that came off a 66 model Chevrolet, and want to install them on a 1978 1/2 ton pickup with a 5 lug.
My question is what year model 6 lug rotor can I use to put 6 lug rotors on 78 pickup so I can use these rims? Also are the wheel bearings the same? |

Re: Rotors
Ok--not following you around but if you have 78 1/2 ton spindles with the 1.25" wide rotors (same as 71/72)--A5 inner bearing and A3 outer bearing --- aftermarket 6 lug rotors -- is your only way out unless you machine your existing to 6 lug---McNaughy's, others.
If you have 78 spindles with 1" wide rotors - A6 inner bearing and A3 outer bearing --I know of no replacement 6 lug rotors --you could have your 5 lug machined to 6. If someone answers on here that there is a match for some 2wd model, they have just solved a question many of us have asked before with no answer. Goodluck |
