What did you get done?
Sorry for the late posting, I just got back in town. I was in Austin all weekend watching my daughter play volleyball. I didn't get until until late, and I didn't get anything done to my trucks.
What did you get done?

Re: What did you get done?
worked on the truck just a little.
Went to a B-body meet with some buddies test drove an 05 GTO the only really cool thing is that I got appointed to do the vynil work on THE original '68 mustang Gas Rhonda car. It's at a local shop being totally restored and I'll be doing all the original gold leave graphics and all the other decals for it to be in a drag racing museum. in case anyone's not familiar with the car...

Re: What did you get done?
I got one 89 Sub back on the road, got our '72 Blazer running, and pulled a bunch of stuff off of the "other" 89 Sub. A pretty full weekend. I am looking forward to being at work this week so I can relax.

Re: What did you get done?
I goofed off mostly and took the truck to the race track with a buddy Saturday. Doggone this thing is slow in the 1/8 mile. I have 2.73 gears and barely made it to second gear at the finish line. Ended up with a 10.64 @ 69mph. I NEED NEW GEARS!
BUT, I was able to beat a F**D ranger. hehe My buddy made me feel real bad. He ran a 7.70 in a 2000 Silverado with a Turbo. He's Captkaos's brother.

Re: What did you get done?
Cleaned the interior of the tahoe with Meguiars Dash Foam, that stuff works great.
I did yard work Sat/Sun moving around about 1000 lbs worth of rocks, raked up 6-30 gallon bags of leaves and cut the grass. |

Re: What did you get done?
I spent Saturday and Sunday pulling the 305 out of my truck. I have a crate 350 waiting to go in. I plan to spend this week cleaning the engine compartment up, though it might have to wait until next weekend since it is dark when I get home from work every night.
I hope to drop the new one in this weekend or the weekend after. I can't wait to drive with an engine that does not leak, make odd noises, or smoke when I start it up. The extra 100 or so horsepower won't hurt either. Slonaker |

Re: What did you get done?
I was so busy yesterday that I didn't visit the board until about 2:30am this morning.
Friday night I 'pre-assembled' the 350 I've been tinkering with in anticipation of a degreasing bath & metal etching (I didn't want a bunch of water getting to the bearings & internals). I got it all put together & taped up then spent most of Sat afternoon scrubbing..... rinsing..... drying . . .... repeat x 3. It's clean now! I was going to spend Sun doing the metal etching so I could lay down some POR15 but one of my buddies had had other plans for me. I wound up helping him get his 198X Jeep road worthy because he needed to start driving it this week. I did a tune up (had to do 3 different parts store runs for incorrect or broken stuff ), wiper motor change-out, & installed fender flairs. It wore me out & I didn't get anything more done to my motor which sucked. Next weekend is changing out the turn signal housings on the TransAm before I can touch my stuff.

took the door panels out and dissassembled and spray painted one of them, yes regular spray paint, just to see how it looked flat black, other than that, not really nothing

Re: What did you get done?
I rebuilt the differential (next time, I'll pay someone else to do it!!! Have you ever tried to set pinion depth and backlash?!?!?!)...
Cleaned and painted housing, painted and installed rear discs (with e-brake), Installed an Eaton limited-slip carrier, new ring and pinion (3.73's)... Rear-end=DONE. Installed new stainless fuel tank from ECE (pricey, but really worth it!) that has a home for the fuel pump for my long-awaited 350 Ramjet (Have you guys seen the specs on this? This thing is awesome! Hit the key and she runs!!!!)

rkarr- I see you got the Ramjet installed in your 69 frame. Despite the picture being fuzzy it looks awesome. That March "ultra Drive" system looks killer... Did you ever get the wheelbase issue settled?

your truck is going to be SWEET!!! BTW, who cares about 350 HP, whebn you have the 400 foot pound flat torque curve of that ramjet! Keep up the good work.. And, btw, if you get the billit powdercoated with clear, you "shouldn't" have to worry about keeping it polished..
