Re: What is your truck used for?

I use mine for a welding truck. The welding machine used to be on a trailer but the frame rotted so the machine will be put in the bed of my truck till I can get the new trailer built. I don't want it back there for long since the machine is so big. It's about 6ft long, 2.5ft wide, and about 3.5ft tall including the gas cap and exhaust pipe, and weighs about 4500lbs. Those rear coil springs don't like it either. Later on I have a welding/utility bed that I can put on the truck if I ever need it.

Re: What is your truck used for?

I split drive time between my truck and tahoe. When I just have one children, then I like to take the truck. Two childrens and a wife requires the Tahoe.

You forgot the "collecting dust" option, thats what all of mine have been doing for a while now, but I qualify for a few of the options you have up there (#2, 4,6,8 an 9)

Re: What is your truck used for?

My 69 has been sitting in the garage for almost two years since I wrecked her. Too many health problems. Right now my 52 is my daily driver. I'm sure she's a happier truck since I don't have to run her down the interstate to get to work.

Re: What is your truck used for?

tough call. my main truck is both my work truck and I am "spending 10 to life" on its restoration. gotta finish the stepper first, then a Mustang for the wife, then a new family cruiser etc. etc.

Re: What is your truck used for?

I drive "Lili" to work every night and she sits in the warehouse patiently waiting for me to get ready to go home . Weekends she takes me wherever I go , usually without fail . Recently had to do a major transplant on her ( fuel pump ) , but the operation was successful . I'm sure she appreciates it , the fuel gauge even works now .

Re: What is your truck used for?

As a second vehicle... only when i want to use it.
week end/cruise in/special events... only driven for showing off or to fit in at the shows.

I like using mine to do dump runs and when I have to pickup parts or make a run to Home Depot and people will ask me why I use for such things

Re: What is your truck used for?

Mine has been off the road for a year, before that it was my daily driver, used for tip runs, to stores to collect big stuff and even to the odd car show. When she returns its as a pampered weekend driver with maybe just the odd working trip.

Re: What is your truck used for?

I have one of each. I have a daily driver truck that's used for anything, a nice truck that used for cruisin and showing, and a project truck that's used for hauiling off large chunks of my money....

Re: What is your truck used for?

My dd (the '00 Z71) gets driven to work, but I have hauled a few trailer loads with it, used it to move a few times, and hauled various crap in it, so yeah, not worked hard, but I do use it as a truck.

The 67 was my dd for years. I can actually remember all the work I did with it. Hauled firewood twice, lumber 4 times, and Moved me in and out of college one year. All that hard work in 9 or 10 years of ownership.

My 03 is a DD and work horse. The 69/70 has done some and will do it again when I choose to use it. Of course I have to get it back together first.

Re: What is your truck used for?

Daily drivers both, they take turns in the commuting department (3 miles each way). Home depot runs, cruises, show and shines, and of course their most important duties of sucking me dry financially and monopolizing my free time.
