dana 44 year?

Can someone tell me how to read the date code on a dana 44. I have one with 12 15 0 A4. I assumed 0 meant 1970 but it has disk brakes.

Re: dana 44 year?

It could have been built in 70 for the 71 year model.

Re: dana 44 year?

BOM # only good for '79 and up. I can't find any info on older dana's. maybe someone can list all the differences from 71-79. I need to order some parts and I'm pretty sure 71 was an odd ball maybe 72 also. I used to have all kinds of info but my hard drive fried.

thanks
