New guy
Hey all. New to the site and still trying to figure it out, so bear with me. My friends call me killer frog. I own a 87/85 K5 and am currently in the process of getting it street worthy. I will probably be asking a whole lot of questions in the next months, so I'm saying thanks in advance to everyone who will help me out.

New guy
Well hello there. Just stoppin in checkin out the rest of the site, lookin around and the like. From what I can see, this place is goin to be a godsend to me.... Just got a misfit K5 from a friend of mine (got the thing pretty cheap, too) and am lookin for any info, as this will be my first journey into the 4x4 world. Look out old ladies and small children and pets! Well, at least not yet. Have to get the dang thing runnin right and drivin ok first. Hope this is ok for general discussion, site is kinda hard to navigate....

Welcome to the Forum from the Great Not-So-White North!
You're right, this place is a God send. If you wanna / have to do something to your K5, there is a good chance that someone has done it before you, and is willing to save you a bunch of time / trouble by giving you hints, or tricks

Re: New guy
kilrfrog, user cp lets you modify your stuff as posted above. It used to take a certain # of posts to get certain options. There was a software upgrade a while back and I'm not sure if there were changes.Once you get a little used to the site it is really easy to navigate.I mean if I can do it anyone can.
BTW welcome to the greatest Chevy/GMC source in the world.

Re: New guy
Thank you all for the warm welcome. As soon as I can figure out the new digital camera the wife bought with her christmas $, I will take a few pictures and post them. For everyone who is asking, my blazer is (please dont laugh, I bought it this way. Needed cheap transport. and my friend wanted to get rid of it) an '87 rolling chassis with an '85 body. Currently are driving it on a limited basis( too scared to take it on the highway yet!). Body is cancered in all the usual places, and plans are to start surgery in the spring (wife and income tax permitting....) to fix the worst. Again, thank you all for the warm welcome and the information on how to modify user name/pictures and so forth.
