Fix the old or buy a new?
The radiator core support on my truck has some rust holes around the battery area. I'm guessing it can be patched since it isn't much. I've seen some new after market ones for about $140. I worry though that I may not get the "same fit" as the original. Has anyone out there replaced theirs? are you happy with what you or do ya' regret it?

Re: Fix the old or buy a new?
I used a repro on my 68. Overall dimensions were pretty good, however it is not a bolt and go deal. Corners where it meets the fenders on top needed to be squared up, the four front bolt holes needed to be enlarged where fender attaches, and had some problems with the battery box holes.
Somebody makes a patch panel for under the battery, or you can fab something up for that area, its not real visable down there.

I`d leave it be.If you need to disassemble the front clip for other reasons, then maybe. That rust doesn`t effect the strusture and I wouldn`t want to disturb the original alignment and overall integrity for that. Can`t see it,right?I`d at least treat it with some rust arrestor.
