sig-saw 3 speed
How much HP will my sig-saw 3sp handle. i hope to get at least 200hp out of my 292 in-line six.

I think you mean Saginaw 3 speed. I run the same combo in my truck and it's been fine. You can break a 3 speed Saginaw if you try. Treat it moderately decent and it will live though.

I broke one Saginaw, but I know I'm pumping more than 200 out of mine. . . Center carrier bearings are a common replacement for me. I know, I need me shafts balanced. But all in all, the Sag will handle a six.

Mine came with the same tranny with my 307V8 with dual exhaust. Nor sure how much hp it puts out. 240 I guess. Maybe 290 now with the new cam and heads whenit was rebuilt.

So far mine has been Fine in front of 3 moded v8's.
(That's all I'm gonna say for fear of it exploding next time I try to drive it!)

still got mine....it seems a shame to get rid of it.....with the modern trend of pull the manual trans and drop in an auto with an overdrive.....I figure there will come a point when they are pretty rare....and you know how easy it is to sell RARE vehicles on ebay!
