differential question
Hello all, quick question, I had some gears installed last summer, do 3.73 gear normally make a humming noise? Or does this mean my gears need some adjustment?
Also what size speedo gear should I be running? Wheels and Tire are all stock size/height.

Re: differential question
I've seen humming develop on high milage rears. Also when they have been run low on oil.
Visit this website to find the gears you need to correct your speedo. http://www.tciauto.com/tech_info/speedo_gears.htm |

Re: differential question
I had a set of 3.73 Richmond gears installed in my 82 Blazer while it was still on the road. They had a lot more gear whine than the original 3.08's did. Is this what you are calling "hummimng"?
