WTB rear roll pan
I want to install a rear roll pan on my 69 Fleetside. I am looking for metal not plastic. Also want a license plate box. I plan to modify the roll pan some so a new unit is not necessary.
I have looked at Sir Michaels in catalogs but would like some feedback and opinions on what's available out there in after market land.

Re: WTB rear roll pan
I don't wanna sway you away from the pan that uncle is selling, but merely point out to check out www.customclassic.com. They have a really good looking all steel roll pan w/ license plate box for a good price. I had one for a little while but decided to go with a bumper instead so I sold it to Grendel on here. I'm sure he has good things to say about the quality as well. Just an option to think about.

Re: WTB rear roll pan
67Fleet, thanks for the input. The truck will be a daily driver so I need a license box. I think with some roll pans you have to modify the rear sill. I don't think you need to with the Sir Michaels, because it hangs low.
I'd really like to see some pictures of the Sir Michaels installed to get a better idea. Has anyone modified the rear sill to install a roll pan? What's involved?

Re: WTB rear roll pan
While I'm waiting on pictures, anyone have any experience on the Mar-K roll pans? Any problems with the rear sill modification?

Re: WTB rear roll pan
Thanks for the pics. I really think I want the Mar-K style where the tag set's higher. I also want to install a hidden hitch and I don't think the Sir Michaels will work for me. Thanks again.
Next in line......
