Another Z'd frame question... i know...
Hey guys,
I was going to mention this in another running thread but I did not want to hi-jack his thread. I have already notched my crossmember and now that everything is sitting in place I am just not happy with the stance ![]() I am getting ready to buy a new house and I know the truck is going to take the back burner for awhile so I want to get it rolling before I move so I can move it easily, so I am going finish up the front and back half. So any help will be greatly appriciated! Thanks Keith |

Re: Another Z'd frame question... i know...
i just got done doing a 3" on my 69, i think i an 1.5 is the max without raising the tranny hump(dont quote me on that). as for the HEI you should just recess the firewall where it hits thats what im going to do.

Re: Another Z'd frame question... i know...
Thanks FnLow,
So I am going to have to start cutting metal pretty much no matter what. I need to figure out exactly how much I need to raise it to keep the lower A-arms off the ground even when layedout. I dont mind the frame touching, but I really dont like the idea of my suspension hitting first if something was to happen going down the street. Time to start cutting ![]() Thanks Keith |
