Differential Question
I am using a 96 LT1 and auto trans from a 96 Trans-Am for my 52. Since I need a rear end I am considering having the one from the trans-am cut down to fit. This will give me a posi unit and disk brakes. In looking at the rear end; I think I could fab up some bracing and brackets and use the trans am coil spring set up; making a three link. I am concerned that the control arms are to short (20 inches); since everything I have read says longer is better. This truck will not be raced, just a driver.
Has anyone ever tried this and what are your thoughts. |

Re: Differential Question
I vote for replacing the Trans Am coils with a leaf spring or going to a 4 bar with coil over shocks
