last weekend's project
Here's the trans. mount I built this weekend. It was necessary cuz I built my air tanks to work with the T350.I then changed my mind and went with a new T400 which is longer and ended up with a clearance prob. The tanks wouldn't allow the stock Xmember to move back enough to bolt up.
I built this as a 3 piece unit so that if I ever need to remove the trans. I only need to remove the 4 bolts from the center section and the trans will drop straight down without having to fight with the entire Xmember. It's unfortunate that it had to be angled back like it is but space is becoming an issue. It seems plenty strong enough though and passed the "jump test" with flying colors . Any comments/critizisms are welcome. P.S. if there's a moral here it's "make a plan and stick to it no matter what!"

Re: last weekend's project
That looks pretty trick! I like how its a 3 piece and allows the tranny to be removed easier. How is the bag setup coming along? I never knew you were building the tanks yourself.

Re: last weekend's project
thanks guys.
I didn't originally plan on building my own tanks Mudd but the one that came with the set up was huge and was gonna be hard to find a place for. These ones are 6'' pipe and fit nicely into the frame. That and I end up with more capacity this way as well.

Re: last weekend's project
who would criticize that nice little piece of art, who cares if it's not original or stock looking, neither is a custom frame for bags.

Re: last weekend's project
i believe everyone said it looks really nice, no criticism at all, my truck is on bags and i had to do alot of work to keep the exhaust off the ground. I am simply pointing out something that my cause the owner trouble in the future. he may already have a plan for the exhaust that he knows will work which is why i made my statement in the form of a question.

Re: last weekend's project
wow thanks for all the compliments! It means alot to me coming from this boards members.
lost wages-no need to defend yourself bro I appreciate critizism,it makes for better results I think. And you are right,I do have a plan for the exhaust.I've talked to the fella that will be doing it for me and have decided that I'm running the pipes outside the frame front to back(he swears he can make it look good and keep it tucked up where it needs to be and I believe him cuz he's very good at it). The reason for this is cuz I want the pipes dumping straight out the back and as you know, that is very tricky with a mild bag set up without a bunch more modifications. *EDIT*btw lost wages,I'd sure like to see your set up.Exhaust routing and otherwise.
