Re: 72 blue interior paint?

I think the correct color is meduim blue, at least for a 67 it is.... but to add to your question I will be doing the same. I have obtained (going back to original) blue visors and dash pad. I have '72 style scrolled door panels that are really nice, but black. How do you go about painting them? What type of paint do you get? And once again, where can you get it? Is there a primer to use too??? Not trying to thread jack ya, just add some more info

Re: 72 blue interior paint?

I will have some metalic blue painting to do in the interior of my 67 as well.
If someone has done this with success I'd like to know as well.

Chevelle guys dye their vinyl, but I don't know if medium blue was a color that they used in cars.

Re: 72 blue interior paint?

You want vinyl dye. SEM makes a good one. Search online. They have a pretty extensive color selection.

Re: 72 blue interior paint?

I've been looking and found a place that sells single stage (laquer) and base/clear for our trucks in rattle cans.

Paintscratch.com

They even take paypal.

Cool!! Thanks. I also found this. I sell this where I work, but when I asked our purchsing agent, he said they do not sell GM products. Next time I should call myself. http://www.metropartsmarket.com/cata...ldye-c4s3.html

It sure is good to have hard working people help me look for this stuff and remind me to look while I'm on-line.
