Anybody know what will remove 3M black weatherstrip adhesive from cloth upholstery?

Haven't tried it on w/s adhesive, but "goo-gone" takes care of most sticky substances. It is a yellow light oil that smells like lemons. You can find it in the cleaning section at wal mart

Do you think it will discolor the fabric? I have used goo gone on hard surfaces, but never on upholstery.

Goo-Gone is usually fairly safe, but I'd test it on an inconspicuous place first. Ya might try calling an upholstery shop to see what they recommend.

Re: 3M black weatherstrip adhesive
I used to work at a screen printer's. We had a spray gun that shot fabric safe solvent to remove screen print ink mistakes. You might try your local t-shirt shop and see if they would help out.

Re: 3M black weatherstrip adhesive
If its not to smeared in yet you might try freezing it with some ice and scraping it gentley with a knife blade that won't cut your fabric. The screen printing stuff is acitone it will definatly get it out but i don't know what it would do to your fabric.
