How long do you wait?

Been looking at a mint shape cab and front clip thats 45 mins away. Well the guy said he would bring it to me and thats been 4 days ago. Just called him this morning and he said he dosent know when he will be able to come this week. Is he given me the run around or what? If I could get a trailer id go get it myself but I dont know of anyone with one.

Re: How long do you wait?

I'd run down to U-haul and rent a trailer or see how much a tow truck would charge to go get it. Waiting is always a bad sign.

Do you have a pickup? Make two trips. I put a cab in the back of my shortbox. It was a 67-72 so dimensions are probably different but you may get it to work with the newer cab too.

Re: How long do you wait?

I didnt pay him but we had a understanding. He first told me that he would be coming down Thursday and to call him the night before. Well I did and he said that he wont be able to come down till saturday and to call him friday night. I did, then he says that Sunday will work because he has his kids Saturday and to call him Saturday night. I did and no answer l left two messages no call back. So I called this morning. I think hes waiting for someone to buy it that can haul it away because he dosent really want to bring it down. If thats the case why cant people be honest and just say hey listen I really dont feel like bring it down if you want it find a trailer and come get it? Id respect him more if thats the case then given me the run around.

Do you think a 85 cab will fit in the back of a 79 SB truck?

Don't expect those that you don't know to do something for you, do it yourself and do it better.... A rented trailer or a friend is an optimum thing here. 45 minutes in Nebraska is almost next door and an easy drive. Make two trips if necessary. I drive further than that to go to dinner sometimes.

Re: How long do you wait?

Ok since it might fit in the back of my truck the only other problem would be getting it out. LOL

Re: How long do you wait?

We removed mine with two other people. Four people total would be ideal, but it's not too bad with three total. If you had some equipment it could be done with one or two. A tractor with loader, or even an engine hoist would help a lot.

Re: How long do you wait?

So how did you plan on getting it unloaded if the guy delivered it?
