Rare or not it doesn't look like it was set up very good in picking the dimensions of the truck. The bed is too short and the extra cab windows well, just don't do anything but look 70's. Intresting facts however.

Looks like a little more than just surface rust.... How 'bout some pics of rockers, cab corners, close-up of bed & tailgate? I doubt it'll sell for much.

Here is a pic I found on here awhile back.
The e-bay truck doesn't look like these Scott built trucks but they maybe made several cab designs.

Re: Interesting 1971 Extended cab 1 of 14 made (ebay)
Interesting if someone wants to get creative--but I would never be happy with the small back windows or the tiny bed. There were several companies making extended cabs as listed above and I totally agree with Andy---1 or 14?? DA! Now if that was a factory option, it would be a different story. Still interesting and probably could make a cool custom if it could be had for the right price.

He wants $2400 for it. Thats the only question he answered from me. I asked several questins about it and asked for some better pics and go no responce other than what he wanted for it.

Wow, that ad of Scotts was in Oklahoma city(80 miles from me) I wonder if they are around still or someone who has worked there is still around OKC to answer any questions we'd have.

IMO, besides a restoration, the truck desparately needs three things:
1. Paint the roof white only on top so that the rear side windows don't so much have that "homemade camper" look. 2. Tinted windows. Custom configurations benefit from tinted windows. 3. Have a custom frame made that would enable the use of an eight foot bed to balance the look.

Re: Interesting 1971 Extended cab 1 of 14 made (ebay)
I have a picture of a longbed 4wd with that conversion and it looks fine. These weren`t built for style, but out of need and served their purpose.
BTW,it`s surface rust.It just started on the inner surface and found it`s way through to the outer surface.Unfortunately that leaves a hole. The hole has no rust, only the two sufaces and the edge of those surfaces.

Re: Interesting 1971 Extended cab 1 of 14 made (ebay)
I think that the rear window is a little bit too small and that they should have made the bed a little bit bigger. I have a 67 extended cab truck that I started working on before I got the crew cab truck but it has a bigger window and bed that looks better. Not as good as a true crew cab but better.I also included a few pictures of other extended cabs that I have seen posted and a picture of my 67 GMC when I first got it.

The copper-brown truck looks outstanding! Obviously, it was a burb by the 90º door corners. The full length drip rail helps with the look as does the white being only above the rail. Needed lower fender trimming prior to paint to avoid the unwieldly lift, but that's a 4x4 thing, not an extended cab thing.

That truck sits on an 88-up chassis. It`s a modern truck with a classic body.
