Is this the nut type thing that holds the power stud onto the rear backing plate?

Paul, I am ignorant here. Does the Speedwarning dash have a tach, a vac or provisions for these or could I build a Tach/vac/speedwarning dash from what you have available? I have a complete restored Tach only dash and would like to have it all. Do I need a different tin, lens or what? Obviously my tin is not stamped for a vac at this time. And no Paypal either.

This is an ignorant question - but what does a speed warning dash do? I would guess that it buzzes when you hit a predetermined speed? Please treat this post as a ttt, hijack not intended.

From what I've been told it buzzes much like an old windup alarm clock to let you know you are in the overspeeding area. I have a parts truck that has one it but didn't get the special cable. I'm sure it's still there I pulled the cluster out so it wouldn't disappear.

As a courtesy we are holding everyones parts that requested them for 48hours awaiting paypal payment then it gets offered to next interested party if not paid for. This eliminates those that wish they had the money but say they are sending payment but never get enough money to send.

nu2-72 none of the speedwarnings I'm selling have provisions for a tach or a vaccuum gauge, in order to install both you would need a tach/vac 2 pc metal case and only use the face, then you have 2 options on the back of the speedwarning 2pc metal case you would need to use a dremel and cut off wheel to cut opening for tach back and drill mounting holes in it, or you would need to take a punch and punch stud out of back of speedwarning case using a socket on backside of case to brace it then drill a hole in new tach/vac 2pc case back in same locaction and reinstall stud using new insulating washers, you can reuse the original metal washer used to retain stud to case by knocking raised metal in center of washer back down it gets raised when punching it out of old case but fiber insulating washers normally get ruined using this process. That explanation probably won't make much since unless you have examined a speedwarning dash closely and the electrical stud in particular which is whats used to transfer current from speedo head wire inside 2pc case to the speedwarning wiring harness outside the case. My business GMCPauls carries a tach/vac conversion which could be used to do this, otherwise for used parts needed minimum you would need a tac/vac front portion of metal case, modify rear of speedwarning metal case, tac/vac lens, tach/gauge printed circuit, tach, tach harness and vacuum gauge.

incoma you've not seen one but you guessed right, you turn a knob on dash bezel face which adjusts a pointer on speedometer face and when speedo needle reaches that point a buzzer goes off.

PICKMUP I have found 3 NOS buzzers so far I still think I have a 4th if I find it its yours or if Don in MN or 71swb 4x4 pass then your next inline, don't you stock the harness yourself, can send if you need though.

PICKMUP No luck yet on finding a 4th I was taking a guess on exactly how many I had when I made first post as I had some at home, and others at the farm.
shaneschevys The speedwarning was a separate option not included in any of GM option packages such as Custom, CST etc....They put them in all models of trucks from a plain jane base truck with only option being a speedwarning speedometer, to being put in CST with every option imaginable, most commonly found in CST trucks or Customs though. Oddest one was a idiot light speedwarning dash in a 68CST pickup, really would have thought that the CST should've been a gauge dash by glovebox option sticker confirmed that cluster was a idiot light speedwarning cluster.
