Please Identify this Transfer Case
I need some help guys. I need to know what kind of Transfer case this is. I thought it was a NP205 but the selector shafts that come out of it are vertical and all the NP205 pics I can find they are space further apart and are horizontal. If it is an NP205 what year is it? I need a rebuild kit and this is really kicking my but.
Thanks Dustin |

Re: Please Identify this Transfer Case
I know what it isn't- an International- only NP202. At first I thought it was because of the huge pto opening, but the case is shaped differently. However, the NP202's shift rails arent stacked on top of each other like that. (I have one in the garage)
It's either a NP200 out of a Jeep M715 or Dodge M37, or an NP201 from an International or Dodge. Actually, I'm pretty sure its a NP201. I *think* the 200's have a centered rear driveshaft.

Re: Please Identify this Transfer Case
Go to this forum and ask for help:
http://www.binderbulletin.org/forums/index.php? it's for International trucks, and I'm guessing yours may be from one. They will help out, perhaps even scan you an exploded diagram. You could even try in the general 4x4 section of pirate 4x4. alot of guys over there who know their stuff.

Re: Please Identify this Transfer Case
If I had to guess, I'd say it came out of a late 60's Dodge. It looks very
similar to one I had in a '69 Dodge Powerwagon.

Re: Please Identify this Transfer Case
Its definitely not a t-221. Looks to me like a NP 200 or 201.

Re: Please Identify this Transfer Case
I went to a IH forum and got a blown up skim of a NP202 they look identical. I hope it is because I have been playing the "ID the transfer case" game for a few weeks.
