Air Condition Controls
I am trying to replace my stock (no/AC) Heater control panel with a new factory Heater control panel (with/AC). I thought it was just a bolt up situation, but the (2) large screws that go in from the bottom of the dash do not line up. They are too narrow, plus even if they did line up it look like the thickness and angle are incorrect. Is there a plate that connects to the AC control panel which inturn connect to the dash to line up the screws. I cant believe that the bottom of the dash and or holes are different for trucks that came with AC and those that didnt. If there is a plate; is it something I can get new from a vendor or will it be a junk yard part. Thanks for any help.

Re: Air Condition Controls
Check with Vintage Air, they may be able to hook you up. Other than that you could post a WTB thread on the parts board. I'm sure you'll get what u need there.

Re: Air Condition Controls
The original number for that bracket is 3895483. I work for a dealer, and my parts guy did a locate and found mine sitting on another dealers shelf about 200 miles away. Cost me $15.00 shipped.

Re: Air Condition Controls
It's amazing what dealers still have laying around.

Re: Air Condition Controls
I tried GM and they did a search on that part to see if it is on any shelf somewhere.....no luck? Vintage Air nor Chevy Duty or other vendors have it. Will someone be willing to sell me a good used one?? Im stuck. Thanks,

I have a used a/c control for sale on the parts board. I am asking $5.00 for it, and I am sure that it has the adapter plate.
