Capacitor for headlight relay, fender nuts

OK, two things I can't seem to find:
  1. Captive nuts to hold the fender to the fenderwell - are these "standard" parts that I just need to head to NAPA to get? Stainless? NOT in the Totally Stainless kit, BTW.
  2. There's a capacitor that connects to the relay mounted on the core support - can't seem to find this one anywhere either - another NAPA part?

Sometimes I think I make this too hard

Thanks!

Those arent the everyday replacement part. I know LMC truck has both and the catalog is free.

Re: Capacitor for headlight relay, fender nuts

The bolts and J nuts used on the fenders are not your typical bolts and nuts. Most of the board vendors sell them. I don't remember the thread and size of the bolt, but it is a standard size bolt that you can substitue with one you can get at any hardware store.

Cannot help you with the capacitor as I never notice one, but with my lawnmowered wiring that is not a surprise.

If there's a headlight relay, it isn't original, so you'll have to come up with a soluion on your own for that one.

The nuts are a 5/16-18 U-nut. You can usually get them at a good hardware store. I bought a box of the from www.mcmaster.com . You can also get them from a local fastener supply, such as fastenal.

Re: Capacitor for headlight relay, fender nuts

The capacitor would be for radio "noise" suppresion caused by alternators...
