that tread about rebuilding
okay i remenber someone was going to right an thread on rebuilding old 3 speeds and well i got an old 3 spped i jerked out of my truck and i'd like to try and rebuild it store it somewhere other then the bed of my truck lol

Hmm. Never heard much on these being rebuilt because I think they are virtually indestructable(with in reason of course). That and a lot of people give them away or don't sell for much over $75. I know dirt track racers around here use them.

I'm the guy who rebuilt them. I get my parts from Standard Transmission (check their website).
I use a 72 model GM service manual for the instructions. You'll need an 8 inch piece of 3/4 inch dowel rod to use as a jig to load the countershaft bearings with.
