shorten the steering colum??

Ok first off im 6-6 315lbs, second, I was sittin in the truck yesterday and was wondering if theres anyway to shorten the stock colum? Whether its pulling it further into the dash, or cutting something. Just looking for a simple, solid way to give my large self a little more room
