Tilt Column Turn Signal Cancelling

My turn signals will not cancel. I purchased a new cancelling cam but it doesn't seem to work. I know there are different ones for tilt and nontilt. But, are there different manufacturers of the tilt cancelling cam? Does one work better than the other?

Re: Tilt Column Turn Signal Cancelling

The turn signal is new. I can barely see the two springs you have mentioned. When the cam hits the spring, it moves up instead of being pushed. That's why I'm wondering if there's more than one manufacturer of the canceling cam.

Re: Tilt Column Turn Signal Cancelling

My brother in laws Camaro wouldn't cancel due to his steering wheel being upside down. Someone had taken the shaft off at the box and managed to turn it a half turn when they reinstalled it. I flipped the shaft back around and it works fine now.

Re: Tilt Column Turn Signal Cancelling

Fixed the turn signal cancel feature. I took the springs out of the new switch and replaced them with the old ones. Seems like the new springs were a little flimsy. Works fine now.
