C-30 suspension? Do dual wheel and single wheel use same front spindles calipers?

C-30 suspension? Do dual wheel and single wheel use same front spindles calipers?

Hi guys, working on a 1963 Chevy Car hauler chassis, I have found a 1974 crew cab c-30 single wheel one ton with rebuilt 454 turbo 400 that I want to use as a donor vehicle. I plan on swapping the motor trans and entire font suspension onto he 63 frame, but I need to run dual wheels. is this a matter of justs wapping out front rotors or are the spindles, calipers etc different as well? thanks in advanced, john

I know when swapping up a 3/4 ton we had to swap the spindles and calipers.

About the only way to tell is to look up the parts and see if the part numbers match between the single and the dual on the parts in question.

Yes, just stick with the same brake system (JB7 or JB8) ... sometimes referred to by rotor thickness 1.25" or 1.5" respectively.

The JB8/1.5" is the most common for 1-tons.
