Is this a 73-87 bench seat?

I want to take the Prelude bucket seats out of my 67 and put in a bench. I've been offered this seat on the 67-72 board. I want to know exactly what it is from so that eventually I can recover it.

Thanks,

Looks like an 81+ bench seat to me!

I'm not sure...
It may be angle of the picture, but it doesn't quite have the same profile of a '83 bench. The floor bracket peeking out from underneath the passenger side looks different as well. Got any pics of the side profile or the underside?

Now that you mention it...

It is common for the brackets to misalign themselves when unbolted from the floor, but you're right, that doesn't look like the normal bracket does...

Pics posted by the seller in this thread: http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...ght=bench+seat

He mentions that something was done to the legs.

That is definately a 73-87 bench, the sliders and adjustment handle look like every other one I have seen.

Re: Is this a 73-87 bench seat?

You guys sure thats an '81+ seat?
I thought the brackets bent down in the front and bent up in the rear? Also, all the benchs I've dealt with (all of about 3) only had one mounting hole?
***EDIT***
Took a look at the bench in the garage and it looks totaly different than that. That one looks like its meant for a flat floor. The one I have has the slider lever on the front and that one has it on the side.
That pattern looks more like a the pattern you would see in an '88+ truck (newer body) and I think those seats mount flat?
Heres a picture of mine.

Re: Is this a 73-87 bench seat?

The bench in question looks like someone welded some different brackets on it to fit something else. Make sure you cancut those off clean. Or put new ones on.

Re: Is this a 73-87 bench seat?

Looks like they welded some box tubing to some factory brackets. Not saying those are the original brackets for this seat though?
I guess the picture I posted doesn't really show the bends in the bracket very well. If needed I will get a better one.
And by the pattern, I meant the pattern in the fabric with the horizontal "lines" in it.
