defenitly not nit picking but my 71 has side terminals too is that correct ???

iwas bigining to think it wasnt but my truck is so original im not sure

Here you go...

This is the only thing I notice that is not correct...there should be stainless steel trim on and under the tailgate handle... otherwise, this looks to be a pretty nice restoration. (wheels and tires obviously not original)

71 was the first year of factory front disc brakes also. First year of five lugs too I think on 2 wheel drives.
Very nice truck by the way, The steering wheel is a add on to, not factory for these trucks. The dice are though...HaHaHa!!!!

o my god.!!!!!that truck is freaking sweet...it's the cleanest..coolest..most nicest..dohoooo, had to get up off the floor truck i have ever seen...
do you know how hard it is to paint a truck...and restore the jams and all the little crack's..almost a impossiable task...
tilt...tac...a/c...all black interior...the engine compartment is ..........
drooler....WAY TO GO...I AM PROUD JUST TO HAVE SEEN IT..

well guyz i really do like the imput im reading.. everyone here is polite,and positive....its a breath of fresh air to find a friendly site....now to answer some questions...nope,didnt pay "buy it now price" but did spend enough of the kids inheritance that they will feel it! hehehe. ragen-rat. and all others....thanx for the compliment.. now the truck..the interior is supposed to be all original except sill plates and carpet..all drive train is #'s matching and original to this truck.."cool huh". the miliage is true..76,000 original.a friend looked the truck over for me and he said short of a rear main seal leak it is in great shape...and am/fm,how cool is that? i cant wait..been walking around stiff as a board.. well i thank you guyz again for all the complements! a great group of guyz,and a wonderfull site! nice! thanx,"coyote" dave..

Well, turns out i do not have the pics of the bright work for the tailgate hendle.
The books call for it, and I have seen them for sale on here.... probably fell off easily like longhorn badges.

My Driver Seeing the USA in a 71 Upstate SC GM Truck Club 2013,14 and 2016 Hot Rod Pour Tour http://upstategmtrucks.com/ Get out and drive the truck this summer and have some fun! It sucks not being able to hear! LWB trucks rule, if you don't think so measure your SWB! After talking to tech support at Air Lift I have found out that the kit I need is 60811.
