got the motor back together!!

some of you may alreayd know, but i had a set of worn out heads on my motor (thought they were good ) and i put on a set of 487s, a Wiend intake, and a Holley 4175 carb..

you and your danged step sides

havent fired it up yet, battery is in my grandpas truck and i still need a wirign harness (had been using bloos) im waitign on to find a GMC wiring harness... im putting a GMC front end on it

only reason i ditched the q-jet was it leaked gas and was missing some gaskets, and some dumb---- drilled out the jets...

lol everybody nagged me about em untill i dug the wire looms out of my toolbox and finally put them on

im keeping my holley!!! LOL hey im biased i live less then a hour from the holley plant. the only thing i would concider besides that would be a Carter, and thats just because my grandpa knows how to tune them good.. he knows how to tune a holley too but he hates doing it.. and i got it for $42, so im happy

the thign about it is, if i have problems i can drive my truck to the plant and ***** to them personally that and i know people who can tune these things

4175 is probably the most underrated carburetor holley makes. I ran one of the double pumpers for years. Great carb!
