V10 4x4 runs bad bad!
Alight people I have a 87 V10 350 tbi bone stock with over 180 thousand miles. When you have the truck in reverse or any of the fwd gears the truck will die, but starts right back up. So I replaced the idle are sensor and the throttle postion sensor still the same promblem, so I then bought a set of headers and a new ac delco O2 sensor still that problem. Also replaced the egr valve and rebuilt the throttle body, new tdent cable also. Truck acts like it have no power and drinks gas less than 5 miles a gallon and is bone stock! Dont know what else to try it throws no codes please help. Also forgot to tell you that it has a tune up new everything and is timed correctly and wired correctly

Welcome to the board, Joseph. Have you done a compression check? It sounds like you've lost some ring pressure. Also have a pressure test on your exhaust. Your Cat. converter may be bad.
Good Luck, and let us know what happens.

pull the distributer cap and check for moisture inside the cap and also check for excessive play at the dist shaft by grabbing the rotor and wiggling side to side should be no noticable play in the distributer shaft.

Sounds to me like the distributor needs to be rebuilt. I have seen alot of these with this problem. Everyone changes everything they can to no avail. Rebuild the distributor or get a new one. Should fix it for you.

Re: V10 4x4 runs bad bad!
I'd start with some basic stuff. Fuel filter would be at the top of my list along with checking the actual fuel pressure. Then I would look for a vacuum leak and make sure the little brown wire by the air box was unhooked when you set timing and hooked back up when you were done. Then just for heck of it I would disconnect the plug-in on the transmission for kicks and see if the tcc solenoid was screwing with me.
