Re: I need help! FAST!

Do you have a slider in your back glass by any chance? If you do, you can snake a wire/coat hanger through your door seal over to the slider latch and pop it loose. Just a suggestion, I had to do it several times in a toyota I used to have. Got pretty good at it too. (Goes to show how many times I locked my keys in the truck). Good luck!!

Re: I need help! FAST!

I personally drilled the vent window hinge rivet out, then reached in, lowered the window, and unlocked the door.

Fixing the window was a matter of putting a new rivet in

Re: I need help! FAST!

Well, it was a matter of getting to work on time, so I called a lockout service. He used two metal pieces with neat little bends, stuck them in under the vent window, opened it and rolled down the window.

Took him 15 seconds, then charged me $45! How do these people sleep at night?!

Re: I need help! FAST!

You wouldn't have had to pay $45 if you had a second set of keys..they cost about $2.

I make this a practice for everything I own with a lock on it.

Your truck is a little too new , but the older trucks without an inside hood release can be opened by using the master cylinder lid retainer . Take it off and since it is rigid and already bent at a 90 deg . angle , it makes a good tool to reach inside the vent window with . Frank

Yeah, I know. I'm gonna get some copies and zip tie em in an indisposed area. I have an extra set to my 68, but I can't lock the keys in it. You have to use the key to lock the door.

Re: I need help! FAST!

I know it's a little late, but since most of the latches on the wing windows wear out quickly you might try this next time. My latch no longer locks so if I put pressure on the window from the outside I can grab the knob which is on the outside and just spin the latch up. Even easier if you have some pliers. Then all you have to do is reach in roll the window down and your in. I had to wait 2hrs for AAA guy to come with his little tools and watch him do something similar (except he gouged the crap out of the window seal) the next time I locked myself out I figured hell, I can move that latch without the fancy tools. Never been locked out since.
