Re: help, dome light ground problem

On mine, the wire under the sill plate had a nick in the coating and rotted the wire out inside. Spliced in a new piece and was fine. This is a ground that goes back to the h/l switch.

Re: help, dome light ground problem

The dome light has two wires leading to it-orange (hot wire)-white (ground wire). The white wire is hooked to the light switch . When you turn the switch to the left it grounds the wire. The white wire is probably broke between switch and dome light.

i think i have a brand new dome light and wire haress some ware and i know i have a spare switch
i will just swap some parts and see if itll work

im just starting to notice the little things with this truck as im being forced to drive it daily to work untill .
my 97 blew an intake gasket when i got home from work friday morning

i never have time for her when were home.
after only 100- 200 miles on her in just a little under a year

sunday night its time to strech the legs on the 71 for the first time scince fall
if weather permits (this ones not aloud to play in the rain)
