New Rims on an old truck

I bought some 8 lug rims off a 2004 GMC 2500 and am trying to figure out how to mount them on the '69. The centers that came with the rims need lugnuts that have exterior threads too. Looks like my '69 has 1/2" diameter wheel studs, and the lug nuts that napa has are bigger. Can I bolt these later model rims on to my '69?

Ask Wes at Classic Heartbeat, he has done a few with those wheels.

Re: New Rims on an old truck

See rims in this post. It can be done as mentioned! I followed Wes' instruction on how to cut out rear caps with Roto-zip. Also bought the lugs as mentioned off of ebay. They turned out great. I am running a 245/75/16 tire and am curious how a 265/75/16 might fit. I know another board member has this size on another wheel.

I got the lugs from stocktonwheel.com You can get them as 7/16" inside metric out or 1/2" inside and metric outside.
