Another LMC exhaust question?
I read the post down below on LMC and have to ask why?
Where I'm from in Oklahoma I can get dual exhaust with afterburnner mufflers($40 each), 2.5 pipes aluminized, not the cheap ones that rust easy, From manifolds to back bumper for $220-240. These are nicely bent. Lifetime warranty on hangers so forth and workmanship. Also in OK there's no rust so it will last 10plus years. I remember when I lived in Kansas City where salt was used pepole said they got complete new exhaust every 2-3 years. Are exhaust systems much higher other places? Just curious. There's no way I save $20 just to crawl under my truck for an exhaust that would need to be taken to the shop and welded anyway. Oh, and if I got mufflers and want to run exhaust from manifolds to dump at the rear end it's only $80 for the pipes. |

Re: Another LMC exhaust question?
I guess I need to come up to Ponca City then. I called several places in Stillwater about installing a dual system. One quoted $420 with cheap mufflers, and another was about $350 just for the pipes. The same system out of LMC is $169 plus shipping (dual glass pack stock exit).

hell, I asked for pipes from the manifolds to just under the cab... no mufflers, the shop around the corner said 100 bucks a side!

Re: Another LMC exhaust question?
A local shop here wants $250 with no mufflers and cheap bends. Are you getting mandrel bent pipes for $220?

Medford Ore. $400 about everywhere, complete from headers back to good mufflers and back to rear corners.

Re: Another LMC exhaust question?
No, no mandrel bends but very good quality. I think if you bring your own mufflers it's like $175 ish. The place is called Jan's Muffler. He's very particular with his work. The other muffler shops are close to that in price as well but his workmanship is much better. If you are close to stillwater come up an extra 40 miles. Just make an appointment and plan on spending a little time ponca while he's doing it. It will take an afternoon or morning. He's very professional. Tell him David sent you. 580 765 7879
I hope this isn't breaking any rules. Just trying to help everyone out. |
