Pics - New autometer guages
I just finished installing an upgraded dash bezel in my truck, from the idiot light style, to the optional one. I thought that I would use some of the board members ideas and add autometer guages instead of stock. Also, I used Longhornmails idea of painting the back of the stock speedo and fuel guage. This way it matches the autometers.
Looks like I need to clean the lens on my digi camera, as there are some spots on the pictures.

The silver you were talking about...looks good!
You might want to let some of that fuel out...looks like you are a little over full there. |

Nice job!
I did the same thing in my truck, but i used el-cheapo Equs guages from the parts store. It is a big improvement, before the only working guages i had were the speedometer and the oil pressure. I also put a tach in my dash. Once again, i used a el-cheapo Sunpro tach, and i cut out the lens and backing plate on the dash, and the tach was the perfect diameter to slide right in without having to glue it or anything.

I'm workin on my dash now and looking for ideas, so i did a search... i was thinking autometer gauges as well. looks like they fit real good? and how much did it run ya for all of them minus the tach?
i painted my insrtument panel cuz it wasnt looking too great, but on the smooth border and gauge insets, it was kind of bubbly, so i sanded it down... did you paint yours? if so, any tips?
