Stupid Question??? How to lock the doors?
This may be a stupid question, maybe not. The only way I have found to lock the doors on my 72 GMC, is to use the key from the outside. Is that the only way? On my 66 Chevelle, I can lock the doors by pushing the knob down and the inside and then holding the knob in on the outside when I shut it. Is there another way to lock the doors, other than using the key on the outside?

Two ways, outside with the key, or sit inside and push the knob down.

it sure doesn't help when you break a key off inside of the tumbler

I have some other ways.
Roll down your window, and shut your door then lock Crack your vent window, and snake you arm through Break out your rear window Slim Jim and lock it All of these are prob not the answers you're looking for, nor the securiest way..

I installed a remote power door lock kit from the dreaded LMC. Reasonable price, good quality and all I gotta do is push the button.
$69.95 if I remember correctly.
