Question VIN#

Hello I am New to the board. I have a 72 chevy and am wanting to find out the original information. how do i find the original paint and options? I have a list of codes on the glove box cover but dont know what they mean? please help

Welcome to the forum.
The codes on your sticker show the RPO, or Regular Production Option code. They should be decoded right there too. Like U63....AM push button radio.
The vin will tell you a little, but not a whole lot. http://67-72chevytrucks.net/Chevyear.html has the vin codes.

welcome to the board! the codes on the glove box should have a brief description of what they are, if not post the codes and one of us will be glad to help.

the paint codes are the 500-599 codes and interior codes are the 600-699 codes, should all be listed right there on the label
