How rare is this 1987 Silverado?
I found an 87 swb stepside two wheel drive with a 350 tbi, factory 4-speed manual transmission, silverado package with all the power options, factory ac, pw, pdl, tilt, cruise, cargo light, dual tanks. I've never seen one with a 4-speed tranny before and just wondering how rare and desireable this truck would be?

I might call it unusual, but I don't think any '87 models are considered rare. I doubt it is worth any more than any other similarly optioned truck of the same year.
I wish I had a manual transmission... Slonaker |

I have a four speed silverado. I bought it from the origional owner who told me that he had to wait over six months after he special ordered it to get it. I don't know if it's rare, but it is uncommon.

Re: How rare is this 1987 Silverado?
There is one for sale up the road from me. Not a Silverado I don't think, but it's a TBI 305 with a 4 speed. Plane Jain and I like it. Clean gut, pretty clean overall for the year and the region. GM didn't make a 5 speed in trucks those years, not till the NBS.

Sounds neat enought that is for sure. I seen a couple of '87's that were 4WD and have a four speed.
