71 disk swap

Question? What all do I have to change to put a d/b setup from a 71 half ton on to my 67 c20 (8lug) . I have both complete trucks. Do I just need the spindles, brakes ect? OR a arms? I could use a little help before i strip these trucks down.

Re: 71 disk swap

You will need to swap the LOWER a arms, balljoints (upper & lower), & the tierods/sleeves, & centerlink. That will get your spindles to bolt on, then you just add the brake parts. The master will be different(drum to disc), & the hoses will be routed differently(save the brackets from the 71, & weld them to your crossmember). There may be some details I have forgotten , as it has been some time since I did my swap. best of luck, L
