how much for a.....
I have an issue, my daughter loves the ol truck, but is geting to an awkward age. She cant fit in the booster with the shoulder straps, and its not safe for her in the booster seat with just the seat belt (lapbelt).
So, how much for a conversion assebly to a shoulder harnes, one that would be originalish for our trucks. thanks

Re: how much for a.....
most of our vendors sell these. i am thinking 150.00 but that's a small price for such precious cargo.
i am thinking also they can be had to match any interior. sounds like a great improvement.. mark |

Re: how much for a.....
You may want to stick with a booster up to 100lbs. After that she should be able to use the factory safety belt that any adult would wear in your truck. Of course, if you wanted to retrofit to lap/shoulder belt combo for everyone, that would be safer than just the factory lap belt. (These ones are sharp: http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...shoulder+strap)
However, shoulder straps on kids can cause more damage than good if they don't fit across their neck correctly. Here are a couple of links: One on booster seats in general: http://www.cbc.ca/news/background/childcarseats/ One on the #1 rated seat from Consumer Reports: http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg...24813?v=glance And whatever you decide on, here's a list of FREE places you can go to double check its installed right: http://www.seatcheck.org/ Hope this helps.

Re: how much for a.....
Hey I am at that point also. It is amazing how little girls love these old trucks as much or maybe even more than we do!! I can't even sit in my truck without my 5 year old crawling in just to sit with daddy. Ok back to the question at hand, I am going with a set of belts from a 76 chevy truck. I wanted to stay as close to a OEM look as possible. The buckles are not the same as your original ones but I like them. Some guys are using S-10 seat belts.Lamar.

If you want a broader selection of color, try Chevy Duty (now classic auto or something) Shoulder belts are $90 each, and center belts are about $20.
