Met board member Powell72, have free towers too...

Sat. morning had made arrangements to go 45 min. north to pick up a set of
V8 engine towers and meet Chris (Powell72) in Winsor, CO. Very nice guy! Saw Rita's flat black pickup, very nice, guess Chris is making it into a short bed?

Anyway Chris gave me a set of V8 towers and now I have a nice set of 6 cylinder towers. They are free to anyone that wants them, just send me the shipping money and they are yours.

So I'm going to be moving my engine for the 3rd time now for it's final resting place. The new V8 towers I just blasted and painted. Waiting on paint to dry and the work will begin!

Re: Met board member Powell72, have free towers too...

V8 towers are in, and the engine is bolted in the front two holes. It was a job but worth doing, now my power streering hose is long enough to reach the pump...kind of important!

Just want to say Thanks to Chris for giving me the V8 towers. On to squaring up the auto crossmember and drilling and bolting it into place.

Nobody want these 6 cykinger towers? Should I toss them???

Thanks Chris! It really helped in a lot of areas. Power steering hose now fits, 700R4 is no longer touching the cab, fan is closer to the 4 core radiator, but still have room if I want electric fans, trans linkage fits better.

So again Chris thanks, I appreciate it!

We need more of these kind of stories. That is how it's supposed to go. Good job both of you, and good luck with your projects.

Re: Met board member Powell72, have free towers too...

I agree completely! Chris was kind enough to give me the V8 towers, I asked if he wanted any cash for them..he said NO! I didn't feel right about just taking them...so I said I give him a polished billet power steering pulley...he said deal!

So I thought it only right to offer these 6 cylinder towers to a board member for FREE...and they will be making there way to Ohio to help a board member with a 6 cylinder project!

I thought it was all very cool!
