Trying to find a thread

I have been trying to find the thread where they cut the bed down. It gave pictures and measurements. I have searched but I can't find it. Could someone please help me find it? Thanks

Re: Trying to find a thread

I believe this "shortening the bed" thread is now in the FAQ forum.

Re: Trying to find a thread

wow, you really must be lazy or not looking!

i went into the FAQ thread index and looked for the word "shorten" and got this:

shorten the frame from LWB to SWB: http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=123624

which then led me to search on this forum for "shorten" which turned up this ECE article (which is NOT recommended by many here): http://www.earlyclassic.com/tech.aspx?category=Longbed,%20No!-Shortbed

and also this (which is recommended): http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...hlight=shorten

and i'll bet there's a half dozen more!

I'm not lazy. I didn't need the frame thread. I have it already, i just needed the BED thread, but thanks for finding it for me.
