Fuel line solution for rear tank
In order to use as much hard line as possible to run the fuel line from my blazer tank to the front of the truck I done the following. I purchased 3 straight 5 foot sections of 3/8 brake line from NAPA which is preflared and has fittings for each end. I also purchased some brass fittings (adapters) to connect the hard line with my electronic fuel pump and regulator. The fuel pump and regulator are universal Mr Gasket brand purchased from Advance Auto parts. The only rubber line section will connect the in tank fuel sender to one side of the fuel pump. You guys not needing an electric pump, the setup will be just that much more easy. The third section of line (at the front of the truck) will have to be bent or cut off and a small section of rubber hose utilized. I am bending these sections to follow the brake line from the rear of the truck with a Summit brand hand bender. The line works very easily, as I am a novice about fabricating hard lines.
Just wanted to post this, hard line is so much safer than running a rubber line for the entire system. I hope it helps somebody.

The PO of my truck did! When he moved the tank from inside the cab and put dual home made tanks in the bed. Just one of many, many things I have to change/redo....

I had seen a complete rubber line, proposed as a solution earlier on the board.
This was my primary reason for posting this.

Hard line is the way to go for long runs. You can get high pressure rubber line though like I have in the Tune port. I don't use very long runs of it though. Someday when the Blazer is done, I'd like to re-run hard line for some of the flexible I have on the Cheyenne. Its just safer.

Uuuuhhhhh,can I ask why you didn't just use a line from a 'Burb and nix the connectors? Seems like it would be prebent and not have the splices in it,therefor being safer.Just my first thought after agreeing it's still much better than rubber.

Everyone (vendors) I have talked to does not reproduce the surburban fuel line (GMC Paul's and Inline Tube). I wanted to do that in the beginning, but according to the vendors the surburban fuel line is not available. You will not find anything this old in junkyards here in North MS, it is all newer stuff, besides I like fabricating to improve my building skills.

hard line can be purchased in 20'rolls at any parts store. knowing this i'm still going the same route as you.i just think it looks better to have nice straight lines with nice crisp bends than the look previously bent lines that you try to straighten then rebend. just my opinion

As I mentioned earlier, this is in stock stuff and the tubing is really easy to work with. In my situation with an electric pump and regulator; I would have some connections regardless so this worked very well in my situation.
When replicating the routing of the brake line the shorter sections are easier to bend and fit into the rail.
