installing side glass and vents

i need to install my door glass and vent windows. i got my regulator in, got the glass in and when it's at the bottom i couldn't get the vent to go in without risking damage to new paint or breaking glass. is there another method. i rotated it all the different ways and couldn't figure it out. i tried to install the glass after the vents were in but that caused another obstacle. help and tips please

The side glass should be down and slid backward as far you can get it. I always leave the widow fuzzies out until the glass and vent is in place.

Some doors have a very narrow opening for the vent to slide through and I have made up rectangular shaped wood pieces with rounded corners to insert into the openings. I make the wood so that when it is rotated the opening is spread. The wood is inserted rearward of the opening for the vent, so as to not interfere with the assembly. If done carefully the paint is spared.

i did mine with the window down and the rear track loose sitting in there, so i could slide the glass back as far as it would go..then let her rip..

If you losen the rear track it will help tons!!!!
