I am putting the final touches on my 3 spd manual to four speed swap. In doing this I have learned that the automatic crossmember will work and other than that you have to do it custom as far as getting a shifter in there. I would suggest getting a manual truck for parts and just swap pedals and brackets and all of that over. but all in all it shouldnt be too difficult...best of luck and let us know how it goes

Re: turbo 400 to muncie swap what am i going to need to do this ?????

Recently did this swap, and on our setup we had to take the zbar attachment bracket off the old engine. It was on a 72 and the part I'm talking about mounted to the engine right below the back sparkplug. For tunately we had the entire 4spd setup and both engines. If you have headers you might have to get a relocating kit for the zbar. LMC has them, but I think this is only needed on some 72's? Our swap was from a 350/400 2wd to a 350/4spd 4wd.

Edit- Of course you'll need the clutch kit and flywheel too.
